conversation*

Mom: (handing a book over to my aunt) This is a great book, I definitely recommend it. I finished reading it on the way over here.

(My aunt and I look at my mom.)

Me: What do you mean, you finished reading it on the way over here?

Mom: You know, at red lights.

Me: You READ at red lights?

Mom: Yeah. What, you don't?

Me: NO.

Mom: Then what do you do at red lights?

Me: I WAIT FOR THEM TO TURN GREEN.

Aunt (to my mom) : How do you know when the light turns green?

Mom: When all the other cars start moving-

Me: Or when the honking starts behind you -

Mom: Seriously? You just wait at a red light? But it's so long.

Me: It's like a minute and a half, mom.

Mom: But that's so LONG.

Me: Well, I definitely don't read. Mom? You really read at red lights?

Mom: Well, sometimes I do Sudoku.

LOL!!! I love reading, SERIOUSLY LOVE IT! and I like Sudoku a HUGE amount...and I dislike red lights, especially because sometimes, or most of the time, red lights= cars stops{I hope right?} , which then in turns = crying baby...so for WAY more then one reason, I just could not do either at a red light :)

I text *sheepish shrug* and sometime the lights are much longer than a minute and a half....like two!

i appreciate your concern. but i have weighed the consequences, and i am reasonably careful. i have also explained the practice to my hairdresser and my little sister so that they know what really happened if i am ever found in my car with a small but bloody stab-wound in my chest. :)

Haha that's hilarious. I'm with you on waiting for the green light. :P I've always got my music on in the car so be it a minute or whatever, time flieees. I'm only a multi-tasker off the road.
